On 10 December 2024, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia, Andris Razāns, submitted his credentials to His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Jordan plays a strategic role in the Middle Eastern region, and the Ambassador’s accreditation is an important step in the strengthening of bilateral relations and the regional presence of Latvia.
During the accreditation visit, the current agenda of bilateral relations was discussed with Jordanian officials. The diplomats agreed that active work will continue towards the enhancement of the legal framework, cooperation on the international arena, and the development of economic ties and trade.
