J.Zlamets iesniedz akreditāciju Spānijas karalim Felipem VI

On 11 November 2024, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to the Kingdom of Spain, Jānis Zlamets, submitted his credentials to His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain.

In a conversation during the accreditation ceremony, Jānis Zlamets praised the excellent relations between the countries and the visit of King Felipe VI to Latvia this past 25 June; he thanked Spain for participating with its troops as part of NATO’s multinational brigade in Latvia and for its regular involvement in the Baltic Air Policing mission. The Ambassador outlined the prospects for further closer and deeper bilateral cooperation between Latvia and Spain and their mutual integration into the EU and NATO to jointly address global challenges.

The Ambassador expressed solidarity with Spain on behalf of the Latvian Government and people over the tragic consequences of the natural disaster in Valencia.

In his resent posting, Jānis Zlamets succeeds Ambassador Māris Klišāns.
