On 28 November 2022, in an official ceremony in New Delhi, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia, Juris Bone, submitted his letter of credence to the President of the Republic of India, Droupadi Murmu.
During the meeting, the two officials reaffirmed that Latvia and India are linked by a common understanding of democracy and the rules-based order. The Ambassador and the President underlined their willingness to continue exchange of high-level visits and promote business contacts and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
In his present posting, Ambassador Juris Bone succeeds Artis Bērtulis, who had been representing Latvia in India from 2018 to 2022.
