On 27 March 2023, in Ulaanbaatar, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia, Maija Manika, presented her credentials to the President of Mongolia, Khurelsukh Ukhnaa.
As part of her accreditation visit, Ambassador Maija Manika met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Batmunkh Battsetseg, the Foreign Adviser to the President of Mongolia and other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador Manika discussed the bilateral political dialogue between Latvia and Mongolia, future cooperation between the two countries in economy and international organisations. The lifting of COVID-19 restrictions opens up opportunities to expand and promote current cooperation between Latvia and Mongolia, as well as to take it forward through political consultations between the two countries.
On March 27-28, the Ambassador will also have a meeting with the leadership of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participate in meetings organised by the EU Delegation to Mongolia and those with representatives from UN specialised agencies in Mongolia.
The Latvian Ambassador to Mongolia, Maija Manika, resides in Beijing, the People’s Republic of China.
