On 11 March 2025, Artjoms Uršuļskis is joining the team of Baiba Braže and assuming the post of Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the current geopolitical situation, pragmatic and constructive intergovernmental relations and international cooperation are of crucial importance. I hope that my knowledge and experience will help Latvia implement its foreign and government policy priorities – security, prosperity, the interests of our people,” says Artjoms Uršuļskis.
Before his current posting, Artjoms Uršuļskis served as Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Health and prior to that, as Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Welfare. In those positions, his responsibilities included ensuring the link between the Ministry and the Saeima as well as its committees, representing the minister in the legislative process, and participating in the preparation and evaluation of legislation. He has also represented the Ministry’s position at both the national and international levels.
From 2017 through January 2023, Artjoms Uršuļskis worked at the United States Embassy Riga as Political Specialist.
He previously served as Advisor to the Saeima European Affairs Committee and as Project Coordinator for the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Artjoms Uršuļskis holds a Master’s degree in international relations (2014) and a Bachelor’s degree in international relations and European studies (2011) from Riga Stradiņš University. Bilingual in Latvian and Russian, he speaks English fluently and has basic knowledge in Ukrainian. Artjoms Uršuļskis was born in Rēzekne.
In his free time, Artjoms Uršuļskis engages in various charity initiatives, including support for SOS Children’s Villages.
