Pasniegta akreditācijas vēstule Latvijas vēstniecei ANO, EDSO un citās starptautiskajās organizācijās Vīnē Katrīnai Kaktiņai

On 7 July 2020, in an official ceremony in Riga Castle, the President of Latvia, Egils Levits, presented credentials to the Ambassador-designate of Latvia to the UN, OSCE and other international organisations in Vienna, Katrīna Kaktiņa.

Katrīna Kaktiņa began working for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2003, and during her career she has worked at the Minister’s Office, has been Head of the International Relations Division and the Legal Department, as well as being posted to the Permanent Mission of Latvia to the UN in New York.

Katrīna Kaktiņa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Latvia, a Master’s degree in Law (LL.M.) from Georgetown University, field of specialisation - International Law, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Academy of Culture, specialising in Latvian-Spanish cultural contacts.

In her new post, Ambassador Kaktiņa succeeds Jānis Zlamets, who has represented Latvia’s interests at the UN, the OSCE and other international organisations in Vienna since 2017.
