On Wednesday, 24 July 2024, The Minister for Foreign Affairs Baiba Braže will chair an inter-institutional meeting on long-term support and security commitments towards Ukraine, to discuss practical implementation of the agreement concluded by the President of the Republic of Latvia and the President of Ukraine this past 11 April.

The inter-institutional meeting will bring together representatives from all line ministries.

Foreign Minister Baiba Braže will present information on international developments in relation to Ukraine in the context of the NATO Summit, the Ukraine Peace Summit and the EU agenda.

Baiba Braže will also brief those present about the significance of the Ukraine Compact signed at the NATO Summit in Washington.

The ministries will provide information about the work accomplished and plans ahead concerning the bilateral agreement on security commitments signed with Ukraine. The meeting will also address areas where further coordination is needed at the interinstitutional level.
