On 24 July 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edgars Rinkēvičs, will meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, who will be in Latvia for a one-day visit. Such annual meetings between the Ministers of the neighbouring countries have become a tradition.
The Foreign Ministers will discuss issues of current importance for relations between the two countries as well as relations between Belarus and the European Union taking into account political developments in Belarus.
The Ministers’ meeting will take place at Silene, near the Latvian-Belarusian border.
