The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, as part of her visit to Dublin, Ireland, will meet the Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defence, Micheál Martin, the Speaker of the House of Representatives at the Irish Parliament, Seán Ó Fearghaíl, and the Chief of Staff of the Irish Defence Forces, Seán Clancy. The working visit is taking place on 11 and 12 September 2024.
The aim of the visit is to exchange views on bilateral cooperation between the two countries, current geopolitical situation and support to Ukraine in its fight against Russia’s war of aggression. The agenda also covers topics high on the European Union agenda, including its enlargement process.
At the Latvian Embassy in Ireland, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will meet with members of the Latvian diaspora. Their discussion on latest developments in Latvia’s domestic and foreign policy will be joined by Zanda Grauze, the new Ambassador-at-Large at the Diaspora Group of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Minister will also give an interview to the Irish Radio at the RTÉ Radio Centre.
