Akreditācijas vēstuli saņem nākamā vēstniece Vācijā Alda Vanaga

On 13 July 2022, the President of Latvia, Egils Levits, presented credentials to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to the Federal Republic of Germany, Alda Vanaga.

Alda Vanaga began her diplomatic career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1992. During her career, she has been posted as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to Denmark and Portugal. She has also worked as Director of the European Union Co-ordination and Policies Department, Director of the Consular Department, and Under-Secretary of State ­– Administrative Director.

Alda Vanaga holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Latvia, Faculty of Law. The Ambassador speaks German, English, French, Russian and Portuguese.

In this posting, Alda Vanaga succeeds Inga Skujiņa, who had been representing Latvia's interests in Germany since 2017.
