On 18 December 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Krišjānis Kariņš, will make a working visit to Sweden. His visit will include a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Tobias Billström, and a discussion on bilateral and regional cooperation, the security situation in the region, support to Ukraine, and topics high on the European Union and NATO agendas.
Before the meeting, the two Foreign Ministers intend to deliver an address to the Swedish public at the traditional Monday meeting in the Norrmalmstorg square, to pledge unwavering support to Ukraine.
As part of his visit, the Foreign Minister will meet with members of the Swedish Parliament, as well as visiting the Stockholm School of Economics, where he will take part in a discussion on challenges to the region and support to Ukraine.
