Latvian Foreign Service turns 105

105 years ago, Latvia’s first Minister of Foreign Affairs Zigfrīds Anna Meierovics issued an order on hiring staff at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Latvia’s Foreign Service carries on towards the overarching goal of Latvia’s foreign policy – safeguarding independence, sustainable security and public welfare of a democratic state.
