The Three Seas Initiative (3SI) Summit and Business Forum are taking place in Riga, Latvia, on 20 and 21 June 2022. On 20 June, the Summit will be opened by the President of the Republic of Latvia, Egils Levits. The Summit will include a closed meeting between the 3SI Heads of State, the initiative’s partners (the USA, Germany, and the European Commission), and the guests of the summit, followed by a press conference.
The 3SI Business Forum will be opened by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, Krišjānis Kariņš, on 20 June. High-level representatives from government authorities, international institutions and companies will hold discussions in the course of two days. The participants will share views on the importance of advancing infrastructure connectivity and mobilising investments in the energy, transport and digital sectors, as well as seeking new models for cooperation.
Against the backdrop of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine and current geopolitical developments, sectoral experts of international renown will exchange opinions on trends in the region’s economic development, investment climate, the diversification of energy supply routes and sources, innovative solutions to transformation in mobility and logistics, and the role of digitalisation in the strengthening of the region’s resilience and in the promotion of sustainable development.
The 3SI Summit will take place at the ATTA Convention Centre, Krasta iela 60, Rīga, LV-1003. The Media Centre will be located in the same venue.
The 3SI Business Forum will be held at Hanzas Perons Performance&Event Venue, Hanzas iela 16a, Rīga, LV-1045.
Media accreditation for the 3SI Summit and Business Forum 2022 is open online.
Taking into account COVID-19 safety measures and the current sanitary situation, a limited number of media representatives will be allowed to cover the 3SI Summit and Business Forum in person. Please note that participation in the media events of the 3SI Summit and Business Forum will only be possible in person, upon a prior registration.
All media representatives who want to cover the events must receive accreditation – also if they have already been granted annual accreditation.
For those who intend to be present in person:
- All media representatives wishing to cover the events in person must register via the link: https://3seas.eu/event/register;
- The deadline to apply for media accreditation and participation in person is 31 May 2022, at 23.59 (Riga time/ EEST);
- Please register your participation as early as possible to allow for sufficient time to process your application. Applications can be denied due to COVID-19 or other security considerations.
- Participation in person and access to the venue of the 3SI Summit will only be granted to persons who can present an interoperable COVID-19 certificate.
Applications for accreditation submitted after the deadline will be rejected.
Updates on the events will be forwarded to all the accredited members of the media as the 3SI Summit and Business Forum are drawing closer.
