Valsts prezidents pasniedz akreditācijas vēstuli Latvijas vēstniecei Kazahstānā Irinai Mangulei

On 1 December 2020, at an official ceremony in Riga Castle, the President of Latvia, Egils Levits, presented credentials to the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Irina Mangule.

Irina Mangule began her diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1995. Since then, she has held various posts, including as Head of the International Agreements Division, First Secretary at the Latvian Embassy in Canada, Director of the Legal Department, Consul-General in St Petersburg, Director of the First Bilateral Relations Department, as well as Co-Chair of the Latvia-Belarus and Latvia-Russia Border Demarcation Commission.

For her excellent work, Irina Mangule has been awarded the Cross of Recognition3rd Class, the Cabinet of Ministers Certificate of Recognition, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Certificate of Merit.

Irina Mangule has graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Latvia with the qualifications of a lawyer. The Ambassador is fluent in English and Russian.

In her new post, Irina Mangule succeeds Jurijs Pogrebņaks, who has served as the Latvian Ambassador to Kazakhstan since 2015.
