On 22 January 2025, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia, Dana Goldfinča, submitted credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya.

The Ambassador will work actively towards a continued development of political dialogue between Latvia and Kuwait, as well as strengthening current economic cooperation and cooperation in the health sector, including pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.

During the accreditation visit, current bilateral matters and events in both the Middle East and the Baltic region were discussed with officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait.

The Ambassador of Latvia resides in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.

Diplomatic relations between Latvia and the State of Kuwait were established on 15 July 1994.
