On 25 June 2024, Dace Melbārde, the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will take part in a meeting of the General Affairs Council of the European Union in Luxembourg, which will focus on the preparation of the European Council of 27-28 June.
A policy debate will also be held on the transparency of interest representation on behalf of third countries in order to minimise their interference in the democratic processes of Member States. The participants of the meeting will also be briefed on the state of play with the rule of law in Hungary.
