On 10–11 February 2025 in Warsaw, Poland, the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dace Melbārde, will represent Latvia in an informal meeting of the European Union (EU) ministers responsible for development cooperation.
The EU’s support for building resilience in partners countries will be among the main items on the agenda. The ministers will also address the implementation of the Global Gateway strategy and development funding issues.
The EU Foreign Affairs Council in its development configuration addresses topics related to development cooperation and humanitarian assistance. Informal meetings take place twice a year in a country holding the presidency of the Council of the European Union.
