On 22 September 2021, the heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Latvia went on their annual regional tour. The Ambassadors were invited by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andris Pelšs, to explore Vidzeme Region – Smiltene, Alūksne, Stāmeriena, and Gulbene. The Ambassadors gained an insight into the region’s culture, history, and the offer of its tourism and hospitality sector, as well as learnt about business opportunities in the region. The tour brought together more than 60 participants.
