Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents Fair Trade Award
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been awarding the Fair Trade Award for the fifth year. The Fair Trade Award is an initiative by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to reward companies that respect the OECD principles of responsible business in their work. Companies are evaluated according to the criteria developed by experts from the Institute for Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility in the framework of the Sustainability Index.
“Responsible Business Ambassadors” program 2019
The National Contact Point of Latvia presents the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises at the workshops of “Responsible Business Ambassadors” program 2019. The NCP also gave a presentation on the OECD Due Diligence Guidance, as well as the functioning and role of the National Contact Points in handling the specific instances.
Seminar on Responsible Supply Chains
The National Contact Point of Latvia participates in a seminar on responsible supply chains and presents the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance. The NCP explained to the businesses how to avoid causing or contributing to adverse impacts on matters covered by the Guidelines through their own activities, including their activities in the supply chain.
