Angelina Kavindu Musili un Andžejs Viļumsons

On 11 September 2024, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andžejs Viļumsons, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kenya, Angeline Kavindu Musili, who has arrived in Latvia on an accreditation visit.

In a meeting with the Kenyan Ambassador, Andžejs Viļumsons underlined Latvia’s desire to deepen political dialogue and strengthen economic cooperation. The officials expressed their commitment to developing a legal framework and discussed opportunities to foster economic relations, highlighting in particular the potential for cooperation in the sectors of ICT, green technologies and agriculture. Addressing the security situation in the region, Andžejs Viļumsons thanked Kenya for its strong stance regarding the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Angeline Kavindu Musili is the first Ambassador of Kenya accredited to Latvia. The Kenyan Ambassador resides in Stockholm, Sweden.
