On 21 May 2024, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andris Pelšs, welcomed the next non-resident Ambassador of Armenia to Latvia, Ara Margarian, on an introductory visit.
During the meeting, the officials highlighted the good bilateral relations and constructive dialogue between Latvia and Armenia. Andris Pelšs underlined Latvia’s support for the strengthening of the EU-Armenia dialogue and confirmed his readiness to share the reform experience with Armenia. The Ambassador, for his part, informed the State Secretary about the current situation in the region.
At the end of the conversation, the two diplomats discussed European security issues and confirmed their commitment to continue strengthening bilateral relations.
