On 30 July 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, will meet with the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, who is coming to the Republic of Latvia on an official visit.
The Ministers will discuss bilateral cooperation between Latvia and Luxembourg, EU affairs and current global geopolitical challenges – Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, Ukraine’s reconstruction and sanctions against Russia, the situation in the Middle East, relations with China, as well as discussing the outcome of the NATO summit.
The Foreign Minister of Luxembourg will also meet with the President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs, the CEO of the Freeport of Riga, Ansis Zeltiņš, visit Riga Technical University, as well as touring the Latvian National Museum of Art and the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia.
