Certification of signature of documents (legalisation) means authenticating the signature and stamp by consular officials, documents drawn up in one country to acquire legal force in another country. It is certified to legalizing the officials of the signatories to the legal status and powers. Legalization of documents in the Consular Department is provided by previous appointment only (https://pieraksts.mfa.gov.lv/en/cd).
Process description

Service requests
Arriving in the Consular Department with confirmed appointment (https://pieraksts.mfa.gov.lv/en/cd). Documents to bring:
- personal identification document;
- Filled moulded application certification of authenticity of documents;
- to be legalised document;
- Receipt of the payment of state fee, if you are not going to be settled by payment card on the ground;
- personal identification document.
